Mark, thanks for your response. I am not looking to run a backhoe, just want better response for the loader, ps, and 3ph. Spoke to my John Deere dealer, and he sayes there is no larger upgrade pump other than the 5.8gpm pump on the tractor. I like what you said about adding new life to the original system by adding a new pump, I may give it a thought. The tractor is twenty years old and probably plan to keep it another twenty years if it holds out,its like a family member, boy they sure are good tractors. I will let you know if I add the extra pump. As far as the other fella's asking about the upgrades on the other series, I can't say I'am only familar with the "50" series. Thanks.

I raised the 3ph system with a lighter box blade while the engine was off, it bled down rather quickly. This leads me to believe it probably has nothing to do with the new power steering. As Tom and Murf said most likely a worn "o" ring on the piston, worn spool valve, or worn check valve. Does anyone have experience rebuilding the control valve or replacing "o" rings/piston rings on the hydraulic piston? Seems pretty simple to rebuild, are parts available? Any special tools required? Any forseen problems I need to know about before I break the system down? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks again for all replies.

Having a problem with my 3ph on a John Deere 1050. When moving round bales around 1100lbs, the 3ph will raise the bales fine and hold for about 5 sec. and then suddenly drop. If I get the tractors rpm up enough when starting to move it will usually hold and not drop, any suggestions why the sudden drop at lower rpm. No chatter or whining noise when lifting. One note, never had this problem until I installed a power steering kit to the tractor. Any suggestions, input, or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a John Deere 1050 2wd, I am wanting to change the 16 x 4 inch wheels to 6 inch wheels so I can run either 16" or 15" x 7.5 four ribbed tires or 7.5 aircraft tires. Does anyone know if the original factory wheels are a standard six bolt pattern? I have found many wheels that are standard pattern, but I figured since Yanmar made the tractor to JD specs it may be an odd center hub or odd six bolt pattern. Also, can anyone tell my why as you tend to place larger tires on the front, the wheel size height is reduced? Example 16 X 4 wheels with 6inch tires, 15 X 8 wheels with 9.5 inch tires. <br>

I have been shopping for a front end loader for my John Deere 1050. I have checked the specs on the Bush Hog 2346QT, GB 280, Koyker 155, and the Ezee-On 2060. I found that all will work on my tractor, but the Ezee-On seems to have the greatest height and lift capacity. They are made in Canada, but don't see to many of them here in Texas. Can anyone relay information on the Ezee or any of the loaders mentioned above. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks Mark and Roger for your replies concerning the power steering kit. I could not find the kit through John Deere, but I got on the phone with Eagle Tractor in Eagle Lake TX, he put the part number on a hotline, and in two days they called me and had located the kit. When I received the kit it was complete and I installed it in about 4 hours. Thanks again for your help, I sure am glad folks like you take the time to relay this valuable information.

I realize this is basically a Boomer message board, but I was wondering if anyone has any input on the NH 3010s. I have an older John Deere and I'am wanting to get into a newer tractor with a front end loader in the 40-50hp range. Any information or experiences would be appreciated.
